I tell stories of community, faith, wisdom, and humor. Most of my stories are original, but sometimes I rework folk tales and other public-domain stories that fit into a particular program I am doing. When I was 10 years old, one of my teachers told me that I was the only kid he had ever met that could lie with a straight face. It wasnt that I was being deceitful. I just loved to tell stories. The stories lived in me, so much so that most people couldnt tell when I was just making something up, or sharing what had actually happened. Im proud of that quality of fully entering into stories. Its the ability to make an ancient tale come alive. I believe that our lives are understood by the stories we remember about ourselves, that the best lessons in life are told through stories, and that each of us has important stories to tell. Many of the stories I tell are my personal tales, moments of insight, conflict, success and failure. I follow in my fathers footsteps, who always had a story to tell.
